Culture as a Bridge to the Future
An academic dialogue on culture, design and international cooperation between Italy and China.

As part of Amalart’s ongoing commitment to international cultural dialogue, Eugenio Lanzetta was invited to deliver a keynote lecture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Northwest Normal University in Lanzhou, one of the most important academic institutions in northwestern China.
The lecture, entitled Culture as a Bridge to the Future: Cultural Design, Italian Pasta and a Dialogue with Lanzhou, explored the role of culture as a strategic tool for connecting territories, communities and institutions across different countries and traditions.
Drawing on experiences developed through exhibitions, museums, international cooperation projects and cultural platforms, the presentation highlighted how cultural design can transform heritage into opportunities for education, innovation and long-term development.
Particular attention was dedicated to the relationship between Italy and China, examining how cultural exchange can generate not only mutual understanding but also new forms of collaboration between universities, institutions, enterprises and local communities.
The event brought together students, researchers and professors interested in cultural management, design and international cooperation, creating an open dialogue on the future role of culture in an increasingly interconnected world.
For Amalart, the invitation represented another step in strengthening international academic relations and promoting culture as a bridge capable of connecting people, ideas and territories beyond geographical boundaries.
