In the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, the Salotto Italia–China was officially presented—a permanent platform for cultural and economic cooperation between Italy and China, designed to support companies, territories and institutions over time within a structured ecosystem already active in Asia.

The initiative, promoted by the Consorzio Leonardo da Vinci World Wide in collaboration with the Salotto Italia–China, took place under the patronage of the Municipality of Vinci, bringing together a selected group of Italian companies representing excellence in Made in Italy, particularly in the agri-food and wine sectors.

Vinci as a Place-Manifesto

The choice of Vinci was far from accidental.
A city that for centuries has embodied the dialogue between knowledge, creativity and innovation, Vinci represents a natural starting point for a project that aims to build stable bridges between Italy and China, founded on culture, quality and a long-term vision.

The event opened with remarks by the Mayor of Vinci, Daniele Vanni, followed by greetings from the Deputy Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Florence, Guan Zhongqi, who emphasized the importance of cultural and economic cooperation as the foundation for solid and lasting relations between the two countries.

Direct Dialogue with China: Hainan and Sanya

A central element of the meeting was the live connection with China, from Sanya, a strategic hub of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
During the connection, Li Pingzhong of the CCPIT Hainan (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) addressed the audience, highlighting the attention and institutional support from the Chinese side toward the cooperation pathway being developed.

Today, Hainan and Sanya represent one of China’s most advanced platforms for economic openness, with policies focused on innovation, international exchange and the development of structured partnerships with Europe.

Salotto Italia–China: A Permanent Platform

The core of the event was dedicated to the presentation of the Salotto Italia–China, a project already operational in Sanya and conceived as a permanent platform rather than an episodic initiative.

The vision of the project was outlined by Eugenio Lanzetta, President of Salotto Italia–China and Founder & Partner of Amalart, who reaffirmed the platform’s role in integrating culture, enterprise and institutional representation, supporting long-term internationalization paths and cooperation between Italy and China.

Amalart: Culture as an Infrastructure for Development

Within this framework, Amalart – Italian Passion acts as an originator and promoter of projects in which culture becomes an infrastructure for economic development and Italian creativity a tool for international dialogue.

The Salotto Italia–China and its related cultural projects represent for Amalart an operational model based on quality, strategic vision and the construction of long-term relationships, capable of projecting Italian excellence onto the global stage.

The Role of the Consorzio Leonardo da Vinci World Wide

A key role in the success of the initiative was played by the Consorzio Leonardo da Vinci World Wide, whose vision and ability to connect territories, companies and institutions made the event possible.

For years, the Consortium has been working to enhance the territories linked to Leonardo da Vinci and Medici history, promoting a high-quality experiential and cultural tourism model—an alternative to mass tourism and oriented toward sustainability and seasonality diversification.

Enterprises, Territories and Relationships

The second part of the event was dedicated to the presentation and tasting of products from the participating companies, creating a direct meeting opportunity that fostered dialogue, networking and the exchange of experiences among businesses, institutions and operators.

A concrete occasion to turn dialogue into relationships, and relationships into real paths of cooperation.
