Ho Kan is a Chinese painter living in Italy since 1964.

He was born in Nan-King in 1932, and enrolled in the Department of Art Taipei Normal College in 1950. While studying learn painting from the famous painter Taiwanese Chung-Sheng Lee, which greatly expands its horizon on Art Modern.

In 1957 he founded the Kan ‘The Exhibition Tonfan’ along with seven other young artists: Yuan-Kuai-Lee, Wu Hao, Shia Yang, Ou-Yuan, Wen-Yang, Chen Dao Ming, Hsiao and Hsiao Chin Long.

He leaves in Italy until 1964 and since then he permanently stays in Milan.

After just one year after his arrival in Italy, he has always been associated with Milan Art Center until today.

His works have been well appreciated in Europe, thanks to numerous exhibitions held in several locations in Europe during the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Some of his works have been collected by the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome.

Ho Kan has won numerous awards such as the International Art Prize of development in the city of Gubbio in Italy in 1965 and in 1966, the Golden Award of the international painter in 1966, First Prize of the painter Nazionale Monza in 1967 and the first prize of Giuseppe Mori in the city of Lecco in 1969.
