LEONARDO NARRATES LAST SUPPER

June 3th – October 3oth – Via del Vivaio 7, Milan (Italy)

ART PARTNER – AMALART

The Last Supper (Italian: Il Cenacolo or L’Ultima Cena) is a late 15th-century mural painting by Leonardo da Vinci in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. It is one of the world’s most famous paintings, and one of the most studied and scrutinized.

The work is presumed to have been commenced around 1495 and was commissioned as part of a plan of renovations to the church and its convent buildings by Leonardo’s patron Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan. The painting represents the scene of The Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples, as it is told in the Gospel of John, 13:21. Leonardo has depicted the consternation that occurred among the Twelve Disciples when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him.

As Leonardo himself testifies several times in the Atlantic Codex, sight is the organ that awakened reflection and self reflection most, why not use this suggestion and create the first “movie art exhibition” through the eyes of Leonardo da Vinci?

Visually, on the register level, scientifically, “Da Vinci’s Eyes” is the exhibition event that narrates the human, artistic and scientific experience works from the point of view of Leonardo. He is the first person to speak, to tell, to speak to us, with a subjective film, that we are seeing the world through his eyes and, as was his life, our experience will be unforgettable: “You do not see the imagination with such excellence as the eye does.“

“Last Supper” Dinners

Italian cuisine has developed through centuries of social and political changes, with roots as far back as antiquity. The dinner, the business meeting and all the events organized into the virtual refectory is accompanied by the Italian cuisine.

Italian cuisine in the Leonardo event is characterized by its simplicity, with many dishes having only from four to eight ingredients.

Italian chefs rely chiefly on the quality of the ingredients rather than on elaborate preparation.
