IEED
International Design Alliance ecological environment
The International Ecodesign Alliance (IEED) is an international academic organization for promoting and restoring ecological design, with three main functions:
1. Prospective research: determining the needs of the future world in terms of clean, renewable energy, new ecological materials, and healthy lifestyle. This includes low-carbon emissions, energy conservation, environmental protection, and ecological surroundings.
2. Studying how to reduce resource consumption with an environmental perspective and achieve sustainable development in ecological design. Additionally, finding ways to reduce costs, minimize potential liability risks, and enhance product competitiveness. This involves organizing global design institutes and passionate individuals to research in the field of ecological design, coordinating international academic design exchange forums, designing new energy, renewable environmental materials, and organizing global ecological design works and exhibitions.
3. Sharing and exporting the world's most advanced information and technologies on ecological and environmental materials, propagating and providing globally the direction for sustainable low-carbon development, energy conservation, environmental protection, and ecological design, as well as the action program.
Among the association's objectives is the global development of IEED Alliance Member States, promoting sustainable development of ecological design among alliance member countries, and strengthening exchange and dialogue between developed and less developed countries.
In this capacity, since 2018, Eugenio Lanzetta has been serving as the European President, promoting the principles of the alliance in Europe.
